Well, most of us out there love ice-creams! Don’t we? And we can never miss out on these world-famous brands- Ibaco and Baskin Robbins. But have you ever thought where these brands came from? You’ll be surprised to know that Ibaco is an Indian brand! It was founded in the year 2012, by Hatsun Agro Products Limited. Mr. Chandramogan the Founder and Chairman of Hatsun products, claims this venture to be a sister of the native Arun Ice-creams. On the other hand, Baskin Robbins happens to be the oldest chain of American ice-cream parlors that began its journey in the year 1945. Because of its legacy, Baskin Robbins has its group of loyal customers, but Ibaco has attracted the Indian crowd with its comparatively lower prices. While looking through the flavors, I was happy to discover that Baskin Robbins has only 31 flavors while Ibaco has 36! In addition to ice-cream, Ibaco offers a wide variety of desserts like ice-cream cakes, ice-cream pizzas, chocolates, and so on. This has made me realise that Indian products are equal in every way to foreign brands!Though Baskin Robbins has its place in the global market, as Indians we can encourage the consumption of Ibaco within our nation. To be honest, I am one among the Baskin Robbins lovers! But still, let us make it a point to reduce the frequency in which we visit a Baskin Robbins store and compensate it with a visit to Ibaco. Next time you crave a dessert, ponder over this: Ibaco or Baskin Robbins?
